About Commercial Properties
In 1966, the newly formed Commercial Properties Limited built and developed the Brunswick House office tower in Saint John, New Brunswick. This was the first high rise building in the historic port city, and the start of a new force in Maritime property development.
Today, across Eastern Canada, Commercial Properties owns or manages over forty properties, specializing in office/retail, commercial and industrial structures. Commercial Properties Limited is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Canada. Commercial Properties is engaged in many exciting projects, building and developing new spaces for mixed-use office/retail, parking, and standalone retail. We are associated with industry leaders in design, engineering and construction, and we bring the expertise of this team to our projects.
One of our current projects invokes a sense of pride as we return to our historic roots. Across the street from our first building, Brunswick House, we are restoring a city block of heritage properties built after the Great Saint John Fire of 1877. This office/retail complex, a centerpiece of Saint John’s uptown redevelopment, has been named CenterBeam Place for our anchor tenant.
This project includes the restoration of nine historic buildings in the King and Prince William St. district known as Trinity Royal, exposing and displaying the original architecture of brick, wood, and stone. Exterior storefronts of galleries, bistros and fine merchants reflect nineteenth century grace to strolling pedestrians. Interior offices, fully integrated with twenty-first century services, surround a restful Victorian courtyard.
We are pleased to have been honored with recognition and awards for this heritage restoration. A new phase of office space on the Canterbury Street side of CenterBeam Place will open soon, and leasing enquiries are welcome.
